Thursday Walk

Thursday afternoon we took a walk into the vineyards about half a K. north of the house.

Another beautiful day; we stopped at a few hilltop Heurigen, sipped some Sturm, watched Vienna far below.

Walking from one place to another through the hilly vineyards, we came to a small cemetery...a beautiful little place where the dead can enjoy a great view of the Danube far below.

I've shot this little house before, but my camera can't resist shooting it each time I pass.

It's now used as storage but we think somebody must have lived here, once upon a time.

The harvested grapes are put into these large plastic containers,
then hoisted onto trucks for their trip to the wine press.

From one of the Heurigen we had this view of the Danube.

  At the little cemetery, we came upon this grave. Just a photo, and the guy's last name.

I tried to come up with info on the Web but drew a blank. Here today, gone tomorrow.
